Following advice from the Archbishops, the Bishop has instructed that all church buildings should be closed completely, with immediate effect, for all public worship and private prayer. This includes any live streaming of worship services.
This has huge implications for what happens at All Saints & in every other church in the coming weeks. Our intention is that there will continue to be regular live streamed services, Bible reflections, social events & activities, as well as regular ‘dial-in’ services for those unable to access the internet and these will come from the Vicarage and other people’s homes rather than the church. We have set up two All Saints WhatsApp groups which you are welcome to join and contribute to. One is for prayer requests and encouragement and the other is for sharing practical ideas, news and information. Please contact the office email below for details.
Beginning on Wednesday March 25th, we have commenced a series of short worship times, Scripture readings, Bible teaching and prayer times. We are also including opportunites for those who do not have internet access to join in services by telephone. Full details can be found on the News and Service Times pages – see below.
We are very conscious that there are a number of people in the church family in this situation and we know it would be very easy for them to feel isolated in the coming weeks. Therefore, we are planning to make sure they are included as much as possible.
We have been overwhelmed by the positive response and the willingness to support those who need it during this time. If you would like your name to be added to the list of volunteers or those needing practical help, please email Alice (firstname.lastname@example.org).
