For the Thursday and Friday of October half term, All Saints once again welcomed primary aged children into the church for Glow Holiday Club. 70 children came in total throughout the week and we decorated the church with bunting, fairy lights, cushions, streamers and gazebos to create a fun and welcoming space. The children got creative with biscuit decorating on Thursday and paper maché stars on Friday, as well as joining in with beanbag games and dodgeball. The children learnt about how they were ‘Made to Glow’ through short talks about Ezekiel, light bulbs, pumpkins and the Good Samaritan. Activity stations around the church kept the children occupied throughout the days including making glow in the dark bunting, table football and candle making.
The Light Party finished the week on the Saturday evening with party games, hot dogs, glow in the dark jars and plenty of music and glow sticks. It was a great week- thanks to everyone who helped out!
