Living with Loss Service

Candle in hands

 Sunday 6th November – 6.30pm

Our annual ‘Living with Loss’ service to which all who have been bereaved in recent years are invited.

We are calling the service this year ‘Light a candle for your loved one’. The service is an opportunity to acknowledge your feelings, and is an opportunity to remember in church, those you have loved and lost. It is also an opportunity to consider not only your loss, but to be reminded of the Christian hope of the resurrection.

There will be an opportunity to light a candle in remembrance of the person for whom you grieve, and afterwards there will be refreshments and a chance to speak with the person, who took your service, or with others.

We have a Remembrance Book in church in which those who so desire may have an entry made, naming their loved one. The page is turned daily and the entry would be available for you to see if you came into church on the anniversary date. A form is enclosed for any who wish to have a name recorded in the Remembrance Book. (Please disregard if you have already made arrangements.)

We hope that you will be able to come to the service, and please bring your family or friends. We appreciate that it may not be possible for you to come from a distance to the service on the 6th November, but we hope that you feel supported as we remember your loved one.
