Finding connections with God - Father Son and Holy Spirit

Christian Aid Week 2021

CHRISTIAN AID WEEK – St. Mary's Church
It’s Christian Aid Week (10th – 16th May) and, whilst we won’t be doing any house-to-house or in-church collections this year, we’re encouraging the All Saints family and our wider community to support all the wonderful work that this Christian charity does around the world by using a special e-envelope we’ve set up.  The focus of this year’s campaign is on helping communities affected by climate change.  The e-envelope is quick, easy and secure to use and the money will go directly to Christian Aid:
Alternatively, if you’d rather donate by cheque, please send this to the All Saints Church Office at the address below and we’ll make sure that the money reaches the charity promptly.

Please do support us and thank you in anticipation!

Eco-Bulletin – Issue 2

Our second Eco-Bulletin is now available and you can read it by clicking here   This issue concentrates on recycling!  It is very tempting to stick to curbside recycling but actually we can recycle lots more at nearby collection points.  This eco-bulletin tells you what you can recycle, and where you can recycle it, in the local area.

If you have a particular eco issue that you would like us to explore & discuss or a suggestion or point you would like to make, please get in touch with myself (kathrynallen82@yahoo.co.uk) or Lisa (lisacoe1@gmail.com).

Announcement regarding the death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

We are deeply saddened by the news of the death of Prince Philip.  Our prayers are with the Queen and her whole family.

As a mark of respect our flag will be flown at half mast from the bell tower until the day of the funeral. There is also an online book of condolence that you can contribute to. You can find it by clicking here.

Yesterday we included some special prayers in our services and also showed a video tribute to Prince Philip from Bishop Nick at our 10:30am service.  If you would like to see the video again, please click here.

And finally, we would like to share this prayer from the Church of England:

God of our lives,
we give thanks for the life of Prince Philip,
for his love of our country,
and for his devotion to duty.
We entrust him now to your love and mercy,
through our Redeemer Jesus Christ.
Amen.

All Saints Eco-Bulletin

Protecting God’s creation for future generations is high on the agenda for churches but it can often feel daunting when we think about how we, as individuals, can make a difference.  As such, we are embarking on a series of Eco-bulletins to share facts, figures and useful tips to ensure that we all play our part in tackling climate change.  Please click here to find out more.
