A couple of weeks ago Jemma explained to her friend Debbie what 40 Acts was. It is something the All Saints community is doing, taking up generosity for Lent – Debbie decides this is a good thing to do and signed up and has been joining in.
Today Debbie heads to the shop with a work colleague to buy chocolate for today’s giveaway challenge. She explained “I will give it to someone who needs cheering up” The challenge being to give chocolate anonymously to someone. “Sounds great” says Debbie’s colleague. Later on Debbie returns to her desk to find chocolate on it from her colleague she had explained the 40 Acts concept to.
Inspired Debbie goes out to buy more chocolate and give it away, as she does two other colleagues ask what she is doing? Debbie explains that she has taken up generosity for Lent, her colleagues like the idea and have both now signed up for the remainder of 40 Acts. Generosity spreads. Matthew 13:33
