Finding connections with God - Father Son and Holy Spirit

Meet the team

We are a committed team seeking to love and serve.

  • Revd Mike Coe

Mike has been the vicar at All Saints since September 2018. Born in Romford, Essex, he got a degree in business studies at Bath University and before training to be a vicar in Oxford he was a satellite dish salesman, a TV marketing executive, a children’s & youth worker & an itinerant evangelist. He was a vicar in Northampton and Hastings before coming to Ilkley.

He is married to Lisa with four adult children and five grandchildren, and enjoys walking the dogs, reading World War II history, playing his newly discovered sport of walking football, watching foreign language subtitled crime dramas and supporting West Ham United (although enjoy might not apply to the last one!)

“I am so delighted to be the vicar at All Saints and really believe that God has called me to be here at this stage in its mission and ministry. We have felt so welcomed by the church family and wider community that it feels like we’ve been here for much longer than two years. I am really looking forward to continuing to help people to grow in the Christian faith and know more about the love and purpose that Jesus Christ brings to every day life. My prayer is that the All Saints Church family will use the resources that God has given us to be both a blessing to the wider community and a beacon for the Gospel.”
  • Revd Diana Rees-Jones

Myself and my husband Hywel are newcomers to Ilkley having moved up here from a church in Northampton.  We are loving being in such a beautiful part of the country and exploring the Moors and Dales on foot or on bikes. Milly (our German Short-haired Pointer) also loves her walks- especially along the Wharfe! We have got involved in a local golf club and tennis club/gym so we are keeping pretty fit and active. We have 3 married children and two little grandsons who live in Bahrain. We love having them to stay and usually fit in a treat at Betty’s.

  • Jenny Lawson - Churchwarden

Hi, I’m Jenny, one of the Churchwarden team here at All Saints.
Born just down the road in Skipton, I left Yorkshire to go to university (by coincidence in Bath, just like Mike!) and worked in London for a while at an international think-tank.  But the pull of the Yorkshire Dales was just too strong and I returned to work first in Leeds and now in Bradford, where I provide advice and information to companies as part of a global network which is coordinated here in the UK by the government’s innovation agency, Innovate UK.
I’ve been a member of the All Saints family for over 20 years now and have felt so supported in my faith journey through the worship and fellowship here.  The Churchwarden team is here to support Mike and the PCC in the running of the Church, both in the day-to-day practicalities and in the development of our mission and ministry.  You’ll sometimes see me reading in church or helping out with coffee too!  Any spare time finds me in the garden or out on those hills which I love so much.
  • David Taylor - Churchwarden

Hi there. I’ve been born and bred in Ilkley and so have always been part of the community here. My wife, Liz and I have three sons at Ilkley Grammar School.

After schooling (IGS of course!) I did my degree in Leeds, and then developed a career in Finance. I am now a Financial Controller at a firm in Bradford.

Ilkley really is a special place, and All Saints Church is a really special church. There are such a variety of people that attend from young families, singles and retired people that we have always felt welcomed, included and supported in our life here. It is an honour to be a Warden here and serve the people and church in Ilkley.

  • Ollie Greenfield - Children and Youth Worker

Hi, I’m Ollie, the Children and Youth Worker at All Saints Ilkley. I have been in this role since 2018 but have been coming to All Saints for a lot longer than that! I have been part of All Saints for all my life as my family came here to worship, and now I work here. I have really cherished the way I have been able to explore and grow my faith in this church, something which I hope I can continue to do here. I feel blessed to run groups, events, and go into schools to talk about Jesus.

  • Alice Carr - Administrative Manager

Hi, I’m Alice!  I am married and have two boys. I first came to All Saints in 2014 when I brought my eldest son to Joining-the-Dots. I was overwhelmed by the care and love emanating from this Church. As a family, we decided to attend the Sunday services and since then my life has been transformed. I was keen to explore my faith and to find the answers to some of life’s biggest questions, so I decided to do the Alpha course. For me, this experience marked the beginning of my Christian journey and It was here that I came to be a follower of Jesus.  God called me to take on the role of Administrative Manager and I have loved being able to grow in faith as well as developing this role.

  • Michael - Verger

I work to ensure everything within church is fit for purpose.

This includes cleaning to a high standard, church and all the buildings in a methodical and routine so to facilitate the work of All Saints Ilkley.

My work is varied I carry out maintenance and small repairs when they arise and the testing, upkeep, and recording of fire alarms & emergency torches. My duties include the grounds external maintenance & in winter months I ensure the paths are cleared of snow and ice.

I open up Church on Sunday mornings ready for the 8am service at which I operate the sound desk.

I enjoy my verger role for weddings and funerals, and other events.
