Winter Clothes Collection – Saturday 1st October.

 Syria and Iraq crisis appeal

Samara is a mum who lives a comfortable life but couldn’t sit by seeing millions of people suffering in Syria and Iraq and not doing anything and a sense that government and agencies were not able to provide enough humanitarian aid and in 2014 set up Samara’s Aid Appeal.
Samara’s approach is for us to give what we can, sharing the good clothes, shoes, money and other essentials that we have, with those who have nothing. Giving our best, not our cast offs, because we want the humanitarian aid we send to be a message of hope and encouragement.

Vikki Coppack is one of our Thursday Joining-the-Dots’ mummies who also lives a comfortable life but wanted to do something to help the crisis in Syria and Iraq and has been galvanised into action being inspired by Samara’s Aid Appeal.

We as a church and  Dots Team want to support  Vikki in organising a Winter Clothes Collection to be held at All Saints Ilkley in Church House on Saturday 1st October from 10am-2pm.
Coffee and cake refreshment will served during the day with donations raised going towards transport costs.
