for secondary aged youth, 6pm to 8pm in church house

Release is our youth group for secondary school aged children and meets on Sunday evenings from 6pm to 8pm.

Release is a space for young people to meet and make friends and support one another. Lots of fun and games, with a short talk at the end of the evening, usually about something topical or a guest speaker talking about their faith. 

All welcome! 

Tuesday evening: TNT - Tuesday Night Teaching

For year 8 to year 13 youth, Tuesday night 7.30pm to 9pm in Church house 

This is a Christian group, but that doesn’t mean you have to be or become a Christian to join us. Rather, it is an inclusive, non-judgmental forum for asking the big questions about God, Jesus, the Bible and Life, so that teenagers can make their own informed decisions about faith and other life choices. We also seem to have a good deal of fun and quite a few chocolate biscuits!

Sunday morning: Focus

For Secondary aged youth, during the Sunday 10.15am service

Focus is our secondary aged youth Bible study session. They used to meet in our link building but in 2023 they quickly began to outgrow this space. Now Focus meet together at the start of the 10:15am service and once everyone has arrived they head over to Outside the Box where there is a bigger space to meet without interruption. They play games and work through a variety of materials to help focus their thoughts – all whilst having a laugh!

We will be meeting at 4.30pm on the fourth Tuesday of each month. When the fourth Tuesday falls in a school holiday, we may adjust the date so keep an eye on this page and our social media channels - please note that in May, we will be meeting on May 19th (not 26th) for this reason. 
 
This will be a service where families with school aged children and beyond can come to explore faith together through various activities run during the service. There will be a biblical theme running throughout the services and will be a great place for those who may not normally attend church or cannot attend on a Sunday morning.

from 10am

A fun, creative music and play group for babies and toddlers on Thursday mornings from 10am, term-time only (you can double check if Dots is running on our calendar). Joining-the-Dots is an established and favourite community group for local parents and carers.

Our music time is fun and lively with songs, rhymes, actions and movement, and incorporate a range of puppets and sensory props for babies and toddlers to explore. We use a wide selection of songs and rhymes, create new words to well known tunes, and gently explore characteristics of God including his creativity and love. Music time is followed by snack and free play with a large selection of baby and pre-school toys.

What are the benefits?

Singing with babies and toddlers builds language and communication skills. The actions help them learn balance, co-ordination, body awareness and rhythm, but best of all your child will love this time of bonding and connection with you.

At Joining-the-Dots, we want you and your child to enjoy both the music and free play which follows. We aim to provide the space and time for you to make connections with other adults whilst enjoying home made refreshments and hope that Dots will be a warm and nurturing experience for you and your child.

Sunday morning: Tiny Saints

A creche space for 0 to 2 year olds

Our smallest children gather in the side chapel, where they can safely play with lots of age-appropriate toys under the watchful eye of a parent or carer.

Tiny Saints are welcome to pop in and out of Little Saints (next door), and in and out of the service. From the side chapel, parents can still hear what’s going on in the service through the glass partition, and have an ear on the sermon if they wish to!

Sunday morning: Little Saints

FOR Pre-schoolERS AND RECEPTION aged children

Little Saints meet next door to Tiny Saints. These little ones play with toys and are led in singing, a Bible story and an activity, which often includes craft making on the theme of the day.

Our Little Saints move up to Saints when they are ready, usually when they go into Year 1 but this is up to parents/carers as we know that all children are different!

For Primary aged, year 1 to year 6, children

The Saints gather in Church House, where they sing together, learn about God and discuss how He makes a difference to our daily lives, and have fun! They take part in different activities, play games and just enjoy being together.
