Safeguarding

We take the safeguarding of children, young people and adults very seriously here at All Saints. In accordance with the Church of England Safeguarding Policy, we are committed to:

  • Promoting a safer environment and culture;
  • Safely recruiting and supporting all those with any responsibility related to children, young people and vulnerable adults within the church;
  • Responding promptly to every safeguarding concern or allegation;
  • Caring pastorally for victims/survivors of abuse and other affected persons;
  • Caring pastorally for those who are the subject of concerns or allegations of abuse and other affected persons; and
  • Responding to those that may pose a present risk to others.

Reporting abuse or raising a concern

IF YOU ARE CONCERNED about the welfare of a child, young person or vulnerable adult, do not hesitate to contact our parish safeguarding officer, Charlotte Jarvis (safeguarding@ilkleyallsaints.org.uk or 07955 186 374).

Concerns may also be raised with the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer (safeguarding@leeds.anglican.org or 0113 353 0257). Further safeguarding information and resources can be found on the Diocese of Leeds website here.

We understand that you may feel nervous, anxious or unsure about reporting abuse or raising a safeguarding concern. Please be assured that we will treat any disclosures sensitively and appropriately.
